Rachel Young served as the Program Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County for over 9 years. She is now a certified Grant Writer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. With over a decade of experience in nonprofit organizations and six years dedicated to grant writing, Rachel has developed a deep understanding of human services, particularly within Youth Serving Organizations.

As a Case Support Manager, Rachel oversaw 300+ volunteer and client matches, supervised staff, and conducted program outcome surveys. She is experienced with managing CRM which contributed to securing additional funding through grants and fundraising events. Her writing portfolio includes compelling program metrics and client testimonials for annual appeal and social media campaigns.

Rachel Young brings a Trauma Informed Approach into her project management. She excels in interpersonal skills, effectively motivating, organizing, and keeping teams on task by recognizing and accommodating diverse working styles. Rachel is very passionate about working with organizations that promote positive change in the world. Her work leaves her feeling very lucky to be able to work with such a wide range of individuals. As a mother of three children, her dedication to her clients is motivated by leaving a lasting impression in the communities she works with. Grant writing is the tool that Rachel uses to help implement many unique and impactful missions.
