Patricia, aka Pat Klug has a B.S. degree in Journalism with a concentration in copywriting. Her experience includes working for the City of Annapolis Mayor’s Office as the Assistant Director of Public Information and Tourism. In this role Pat was responsible for all city employee newsletters and communication. This included coordinating with City Police and Fire Departments for public events, and representing Annapolis City for County and State public events. Other duties were to handle stakeholder communication with the City residents and departments.
Later she was promoted as the first Director of Membership for the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce. With her guidance, membership increased by hundreds of businesses who benefited from chamber membership. Pat’s outgoing personality and commitment to assisting businesses in utilizing government resources resulted in a robust network of city, county, and statewide members.
Pat’s interests later expanded into a 24-year career in real estate. Her ability to manage transactions with title attorneys, lenders, inspectors, appraisers, and clients earned her respect among colleagues and repeat clients for over two decades.
While volunteering as a certified adaptive pickleball coach, Pat’s passion for grant writing developed. As the organization grew, more adaptive wheelchairs were needed at a cost of $6,000 each. Grants, along with tournaments and fundraisers, continue to help ADP provide recreation and comradery for hundreds of people with “diversabilities.” Pat Klug also uses her deep knowledge of regional governments, business services, and real estate, to be invaluable in locating resources, research, and supporting documentation to strengthen grant applications.
