
Dr. Malarvizhi Jayakumar is a highly dedicated and result-oriented healthcare professional with over 18 years of experience in nursing practice, education, and clinical research across diverse settings, including direct clinical care, home care, remote nursing services, and academia. She has held leadership roles at Sri Ramachandra University, India, where she supervised staff, enhanced academic excellence, and advanced patient care initiatives. Her expertise encompasses quantitative and qualitative research, patient care, curriculum development, and clinical simulation. Dr. Jayakumar is highly skilled in designing and delivering e-learning activities, mentoring nurses for career and skill development, and integrating evidence-based practices into healthcare systems.
Dr. Jayakumar has been recognized with multiple research grants in India and several Excellence in Research awards. A sought-after speaker, she has delivered presentations at numerous national and international conferences. She has published over 60 research articles in indexed, peer-reviewed journals, making significant contributions to oncology, critical care, respiratory care, and nursing administration. Passionate about education, she is committed to mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals while fostering innovation and excellence in healthcare.
Throughout her career, Dr. Malarvizhi Jayakumar has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Excellence in Research award from EET CRS, eight gold medals for academic excellence in nursing (2001–2009), and the Young Faculty Research Grant Award in 2012. Her research has been recognized at national and international forums with awards for best academic research papers and poster presentations. Additionally, she has made significant contributions to institutional quality improvements, playing a key role in NABH hospital accreditation and NAAC accreditation processes, thereby elevating institutional standards and outcomes.
Dr. Jayakumar is also deeply committed to volunteerism and giving back to the community. She has served as a research mentor and visiting professor, providing guidance to aspiring nursing professionals. As a mentor in initiatives like the Nursing Now Challenge, she supports early-career nurses in developing critical skills and career confidence. Her volunteer work extends to

Additionally, she contributes her expertise to nonprofits such as the Diar Foundation. They focus on African healthcare access, mental health, and women’s empowerment programs.
