
For the past two years, Taylor Bergeron has been a Small Business Program Specialist. Her work supports an integral part of grant management at the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) in New Haven Connecticut. She is a Planet Grants Small Business expert, having handling data entry for over 3,000 business owner clients and grant applicants.
In the WBDC role, Taylor serves on an internal review committee to review grant applications from inspiring local small business owners. Regarding her education, she holds an associate degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Her specialty concentration was in marketing. Taylor’s background has provided her with the business and financial knowledge necessary to be a successful entrepreneur.
Taylor Bergeron has worked diligently for over six years with organizations ranging from local small businesses to large corporations. These experiences helped her gain valuable insights into effective communication and teamwork. As a contracted freelancer, and engaged citizen, she brings understanding and empathy to support disadvantaged individuals and communities.
To date, over $10 million in grants have been awarded to many of Connecticut’s women-owned small businesses through the support of state, federal, and municipal grants. Another one of her passions is helping Animal welfare organizations.
