For the past year, Taylor has been an integral part of grant management at the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) in New Haven Connecticut, handling data entry for over 3,000 business owner clients and grant applicants. This role has allowed her to serve on an internal review committee to review grant applications from the inspiring small business owners the WBDC nonprofit supports. Regarding her education, she holds an associate degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Taylors background has provided her with the business and finance knowledge necessary to be a successful entrepreneur, freelancer, and engaged citizen, with the understanding and empathy to support disadvantaged individuals and communities. Taylor has worked for over six years with organizations ranging from local small businesses to large corporations, gaining valuable insights into effective communication and teamwork.
To date, over $10 million in grants have been awarded to many of Connecticut’s women-owned small businesses through the support of state, federal, and municipal grants.
